Women Forward. For a fairer future. While applying responsible environmental and social practices throughout our operations.

Our Manifesto
This section and its sub-sections are intended as an introduction to our sustainability commitments and projects: for more information and details, please refer to our latest annual report, here.
The legacy of our founder, Gaby Aghion, and her forward vision of femininity continues to inspire our long-term commitment to uplift women, put efforts in rebalancing gender-based inequalities, and promote inclusivity. Our goal: creating beautiful products leveraging responsible environmental and social practices.
We are already committed to changing the way we operate wherever possible.
Our plan is ambitious; and our aim is to extend it to every level, and every individual, within our sourcing and supply chain, our activities and our communities, with women as change agents, inspiring and engaging us.
We have committed to transforming our operations and shift our mindset through efforts in everyday practices. We want to improve social and environmental sustainability with greater transparency and accountability. This section will be regularly updated to reflect our progress, as well as developments in relevant legislation and regulation.
While we are aware change does not happen overnight, and that the change takes many forms, we are dedicated to this exciting journey. We are ready to act for a fairer and more sustainable future together.

Our Approach
Chloรฉ operates as a โSociรฉtรฉ ร Missionโ (Purpose-Driven Company) as of April 2023. This legal statutory change reflects Chloรฉโs commitment to support womenโs advancement for a fairer future while adopting responsible environmental and social practices throughout its operations.
In addition to using the legal โSociรฉtรฉ ร Missionโ framework for guidance on reaching its long-term goals, Chloรฉ leverages its B Corp status as an additional framework to drive and measure transformation.
We have established a mission committee dedicated to our social and environmental commitments, made up of members of our teams and external experts โ Elisabeth Laville, Lubomila Jordanova and Claire Simier โ to whom we report on our progress. We are committed to considering our mission in everything we do.
Our Partners
Collaboration within the industry and even beyond is the only way for systemic change. For that reason, we are proud to work closely with a strong ecosystem of partners across social and environmental topics.

Our Pillars of engagement
Chloรฉ received its B Corpยน recertification in October 2024.
B Corp is an international certificationยน created in 2006, awarded to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. To qualify, companies are assessed on a rigorous questionnaire of 200 to 300 questions, structured around five themes: Governance, Employees, Community, Environment and Customers. After its first certification in October 2021, Maison Chloรฉ is proud to have successfully completed the recertification process with a higher score. This new achievement reflects our determination to continue our efforts to improve the impact of our business operations, for which we take full responsibility.
ยนThe โB Corporationโ certification is awarded by B Lab, a private non-profit organisation, to companies like ours that have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment (BIA) and meet B Labโs requirements in terms of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
B Lab is not a conformity assessment body as defined in Regulation (EU) No 765/2008, nor is it a national, European or international standards body as defined in Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012. The BIA criteria are different from and independent to the harmonised standards issued by the ISO or other standardisation bodies, and are not sanctioned by national or European public institutions. Chloรฉ shared its Social Profit & Loss Approach in March 2023.
The Social Profit & Loss approach (SP&L), is a methodology developed by Chloรฉ in partnership with The Institut Franรงais de la Mode (IFM) and the Conservatoire National des Arts et Mรฉtiers (CNAM). The SP&L is a business management tool that aims to integrate positive social impact into performance reports and accounting frameworks, alongside environmental and financial performance criteria. The tool enables organisations to measure, evaluate, and visualise an organisationโs positive impact on their stakeholders, and to draft tailor-made action plans for making immediate and long-term improvements to their own practices as well as their suppliers. The methodology and deployment formats are open-sourced and available here.
