To make this product, Chloé worked with Leather Working Group (LWG) certified leather manufacturers. LWG certifies tanneries based on their water and energy usage, management of chemicals, solid waste, and wastewater.
This product is made using deadstock: leftover materials transformed into new products to decrease the production of new materials and lower our environmental footprint. The quality remains the same, but the environmental impact is reduced.
We favour the use of deadstock, since reusing an existing material is always more sustainable than spending resources to produce a new one.
